Jason Daniels, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Education at Concordia University of Edmonton.
Dr. Daniels is an educator, researcher, and author dedicated to helping children, parents, and teachers thrive in today’s digital landscape. He serves as an Assistant Professor of Education at Concordia University of Edmonton, where he teaches and researches in the areas of child development, educational psychology, and digital media use.
His book, Beyond the Screen: Resilient Kids in a Digital World, provides practical, research-based strategies to help families and educators support children’s healthy development while navigating the challenges of technology. Drawing on years of teaching and research, Jason’s work emphasizes resilience, balance, and holistic well-being.
Dr. Daniels’ current research projects include developing tools to assess and address Problematic Digital Media Use (PDMU), investigating interventions that promote balance such as exercise and social connection, and collaborating with schools and communities to translate evidence into action. His work has led to partnerships across education, public health, and child development.
